Mick and Debs, thank you so much for the use of The Gatehouse.
This was our 6th visit to Orlando. We usually stay in hotels in the I.Drive area, but as we bought some first timers with us, and they have 3 children, your villa was absolutely spot on.
So much space and entertainment within the villa, that when we were all there, we were not under each others feet.
The web site on the Gatehouse is fantastic, but it cannot prepare one for the moment you first open the front door and enter the villa! The furnishing is excellent and the bed in the master bedroom is actually phenomenal!
The only thing that was a bit of a down side for us,....although it was good in another sense...was that we have never stayed so far away from all the attractions on or near International Drive, although The Gatehouse is only 10 minutes from the Disney main gate.
International Drive is a hive of activity and crammed with restaurants, although I can see by the amount of construction on the 27 and the 192 that more residential and consequentially more commercial areas will soon be in existence. I would not hesitate to recommend the Gatehouse to any suitable people I hear of who are looking for a top notch base for a holiday in the Orlando area.
A few experiences found near The Gatehouse....
We loved Longhorn, the steaks MUST be the best in Orlando, Our first visit to Millers was excellent, but the second was disappointing (although I gained a $25 gift card upon complaining to the manager!) Olive Garden was top grade and different from all other menus as usual, Applebees is great value with a good varied menu, Chillis on the 27 very friendly and quiet, but the suprise of the trip was Wendys north on the 27,just past Cagan Crossing, excellent burgers and the manager came round to ask if the meal was ok and fetched our drink refills for us....amazing!
Thank you once again for an unforgettable holiday, and should we require a villa in future years, Mick , you will be our first contact.

We had a great time in the Gatehouse. We really enjoyed the pool area. Nobody could look straight into the pool, it’s very private. The pool was also very clean and the pool man came every Thursday and he did a good job. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening looking at the sunset knowing we were not being watched ourselves from other villas.
The kitchen was great but you do need more wineglasses, we all enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while relaxing in the lounge area, although you do have plenty of plastic tumblers for use around the pool and very handy they are with children around but you can not beat the feel of real glass when drinking good wine.
We have nothing else to complain about as we had a wonderful holiday, your villa has every thing and a lot more than we expected. We will recommend your villa to our friends here in Norway and I am sure some will be visiting soon when they hear about what we have done during our time at the gatehouse in Orlando.

Christina, how nice of you, god knows were my wine glasses have gone to, but they will be replaced this week. I am also sorry for having to modify this review; Norwegian did not convert into English to well so I needed to correct some of the content to read correctly.
Thank you for taking care of my villa and you are always welcome to return again and hopefully the next visit will be even better with wine glasses and a few bottles of complimentary wine on me.

The Costello Family with the Stokers + Whitehead.
We had a fantastic holiday topped off by having a fab house to stay in. Our party includes 4 generations and everyone loved the house. Everything we needed was provided. The pool was great after a full day at the Disney and the games room was used a lot too.
Would definitely recommend it to friends and relations.
We ate at Appelbee's and the Olive Garden which were good recommendations from your welcome book. Also ate at Sizzler (which is great value) and Millers Ale house (Again great food and great value) Shame we didn’t try it until our last night.
Hope we can all come back again one day.

Thank you for letting us use your vacation home it was fantastic, we had a great time. We were so lucky to stay in a nice home like yours. We would like to thank you so much wish we could stay here longer but we have to go back home. Your home was also very relaxing, my favourite part of the house was the pool and the bedroom upstairs with the twin bed it was wonderful because everything went well, wish we could stay.

Our family would recommend Golden Corral all you can eat buffet, we went there a lot and it is great for breakfast, also for the evening meal, we would recommend Longhorn Steakhouse one word mmmmmmm

Thank you for the loan of your wonderful house, we had a super holiday and hope to return some time in the future. The house met all our expectations and more, the games room was brilliant for our teenage children and any spare moment they had was spent in there. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to out friends and family.

Unfortunately, we're back home and back to the usual routine :-( Orlando and Disney seems like a long, long time ago already! )
I just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time!.... and that was helped by your great villa! There was nothing more that we could have wanted while we were there. It's very well catered and has absolutely everything you'd need! (There were even 3 cold beers in the fridge when we arrived, so THANK YOU if that was your doing!) We were delayed a couple of hours going so didn't arrive at the villa until late and didn't have the energy (or time) to shop when we got there. The pool and facilities around it were great, the kids loved the games room, the bedrooms and accommodation were just fab! Your folder was really useful, particularly the restaurant recommendations. We visited the Olive Garden and Applebees after reading your notes and agreed that they were both lovely. We also tried Millers Ale House (which was next to Applebees on the 192) and that was just as good. I will recomend your villa to friends and family and really hope that we can afford to go back some day! I'll keep your e-mail details just in case we're lucky enough to go again.

How surprised we were when we arrived to find how wonderful your villa was. We enjoyed our stay so much we want to return next year.
There is something special about your villa and I can’t put my finger on exactly what but it was perfect. The kids had so much fun in the games room that we could not get them into bed most nights, in fact we all had good family fun in both the games room and your pool, and we loved our stay. This was my third trip to Orlando but my first visit to the Gatehouse, we had such a good time, Highgate Park is a wow and you supplied us with everything we needed, thank you for that Mick.
We will be returning again as soon as we can we just love Florida, and your villa is the place we want to stay in, you are so close to the theme parks yet away from the crowds, wonderful.
